Designing a well-organized and stylish closet can improve how you feel about getting dressed each day. When I started reorganizing my own closet, the first task was decluttering the clutter. I went through apparel, footwear, and extras, determining what to retain, pass on, or get rid of. With a fresh start, I measured my wardrobe to determine how to make the most of the space.

I installed storage racks to store knitwear, handbags, and footwear. Adjustable shelves gave me the ability to reorganize as needed. Adding a double hanging rod let me store double the amount of clothes. I placed tops like blouses on the upper bar, and longer pieces, like gowns, on the lower.

Drawer organizers transformed into my lifesaver for keeping small accessories like footwear essentials, underwear, and jewelry organized. I also incorporated a few decorative storage boxes for seasonal accessories, like winter wear and hats, which I didn’t use often. These containers ensured keep my closet aesthetically pleasing while storing seasonal items.
I ensured to purchase matching, space-saving hangers to create a tidy and cohesive look. It opened up room and avoided pieces from sliding. Mounting hangers to the inside of the wardrobe door was another life hack, giving me a spot to store waist accessories, purses, and even next day’s ensemble.
Lastly, I hung a compact mirror behind the wardrobe door for quick outfit checks, making my wardrobe space not only practical but pleasant to use. A well-thought-out wardrobe layout contributes to time-saving, lowers stress, and creates outfit planning a stress-free part of my day. Every morning now becomes a little more orderly and efficient!
